Arizona State’s 2025 indoor season ended at the NCAA Indoor National Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with the Sun Devils sending five total athletes to compete in four events. The men finished 24th, the women did not score.

Senior Adriana Tatum was the only women’s athlete to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, coming in as the No. 9 seed for the women’s 200m. She ran a 23.45, finishing 16th overall and missing the cutoff for Saturday’s finals.

Senior Dayton Carlson was Arizona State’s lone long-distance qualifier in the 800m. He led for much of the race but fell back late, finishing with a 1:47.98, putting him fifth in his section and 11th overall. He didn’t qualify for Saturday in the 800m but did participate in the 4x400m relay.

Sophomore Jayden Davis came into the 400m final seeded second in terms of season-best. He was neck-and-neck with Texas A&M senior Auhmad Robinson, whose time sat at just a hundredth behind Davis’s 45.06.

Robinson went all out in the first 100m to get the lead on the cones, which he did successfully, forcing Davis into the No. 2 spot early. Davis attempted to pass Robinson on the final curve, and nearly did, but fell just 0.02 short with a 45.56.

Georgia sophomore Will Floyd ended up winning the second section and the overall race with a 45.43, beating out Baylor star runner Nathaniel Ezekiel, who came into the meet as the only collegiate runner to go under 45 this season.

ASU started its 4x400m relay rough, as Davis fell into fourth at the cones. Still, he managed to pass Virginia Tech’s Kahleje Tillmon and handed off in third. Junior Trevin Moyer and Carlson went back and forth with Texas Tech, but the Red Raiders separated themselves on the fourth leg and took second.

The Sun Devils couldn’t do much to surpass Georgia’s 3:03.44 — which broke the Bulldogs’ school record — but finished third overall with a season-best of 3:03.88.

ASU ended their men’s day with 11 points, which placed them in a tie at 24th with Missouri. The Sun Devils will begin their outdoor season next weekend, March 21 and 22, in Tucson, Arizona at the Willie Williams Invite.
