Andi Lowrance is a sophomore transfer student from Seattle University. At 6’1” the Phoenix native looks to be a force to be reckoned with at middle blocker. In just 11 starts last year Lowrance had 81 kills and 24 digs. Josh Frons got a chance to catch up with the transfer in an exclusive interview.
Q. How has the adjustment process been since coming to ASU from Seattle University?
A. It’s different. ASU’s definitely a much bigger school. I think the team works really hard every day. It’s just a little different but it’s good. I love it, every part of it.
Q. How do you feel about coming home and playing where you grew up?
A. It’s really fun. My family gets to see me all the time and I have a lot of friends at ASU. I have previously known some of girls on the team so it’s been a really good experience being home.
Q. How do you feel about facing your former team on September 6th?
A. It’ll be a lot of fun I think. I am still close with those girls and I still talk to them so I think it will be a lot of fun to see them across the net.
Q. What are your personal goals for the season?
A. To get a little better every day and work hard every single day.
Q. What are your team expectations for the season?
A. Definitely making it to the tournament. We’re going to get there for sure. That’s my expectation. We’ll go far.
