Fifth-year guard Desmond Cambridge Jr. And senior forward Warren Washington earned Pac-12 honors for the 2022-23 season. Cambridge was selected to the All-Pac-12 Second team, and Washington was an honorable mention for the Pac-12’s All-Defensive team.

Before their tenure for Arizona State men’s basketball, Cambridge and Washington spent three seasons in Nevada together, where Cambridge was named to the All-Mountain West Third team twice.

Cambridge, who led the Sun Devils in points per game, served as the primary source of offense. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 13.4 points per game on a 39.5% performance from the field.

Washington proved to be ASU’s defensive anchor, averaging 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The 7-foot center also worked in the paint on the offensive end, scoring 9.3 points per game on 58.9% shooting.

The awards arrive only a day before the Pac-12 Tournament, where ASU hopes to bolster its NCAA Tournament resume. Currently, the Sun Devils are on bubble watch, as ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, who has the ASU as the first four out and the program sits at 64 in the NCAA NET rankings.

To dance in March, head coach Bobby Hurley and his squad will likely need to make a deep run in the Pac-12 Tournament and help from other at large bid programs. ASU is slatted to tipoff its Pac-12 Tournament run at 9:30 MST on Wednesday against the Oregon State Beavers, who lost both meetings against the Sun Devils
