The No. 23 Arizona State women’s basketball team is back in Tempe after two weeks on the road to take on No. 11 Oregon State.

The Sun Devils have been on the road for six of their last eight games. Dropping its last three games, ASU basketball has struggled as of late.

The road is only getting tougher and the team has moved down from the fourth to the fifth spot in Pac-12 standings with a 5-5 record in conference play.

Last weekend, the Sun Devils lost back-to-back games in the Pac-12 play for the first time all season. The first lost came against No.13 UCLA, as the Sun Devils fell 69-60 to the Bruins. In the second game, ASU couldn’t overcome USC’s hot shooting and lost 65-60.

Winning 22 of its last 28 meetings, ASU has matched up well against Oregon State. However, the last four times the teams went head-to-head the Beavers have been victorious.

ASU women’s basketball has been battling injury and is without senior forward Kelsey Moos. The forward injured herself late in a game against California, suffering a plantar fascia injury and was ruled out for a month.

Senior forward Sophie Brunner has been picking up the offensive slack and is averaging 15.6 points per contest and 9 rebounds in her last seven games.

In that time, senior forward Quinn Dornstauder has averaged 12.6 points per game and 7.6 rebounds.

Oregon State currently has a 20-2 overall record and is 9-1 in Pac-12 conference play. The two blemishes on the Beaver’s record are to No.13 UCLA and Marquette who also beat the Sun Devils earlier this season.

Senior guard Sydney Wiese leads the high-powered Oregon State offensive, averaging 14.9 points per game and 4.2 assist per game.

Oregon State is currently ranked No. 5 in the country in field goal percentage defense at 33.5 percent.

All the action will start at 8 p.m. MST at Wells Fargo Arena and will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
