ASU Swimming: Return of Richard Bohus helps Arizona State

Next week the Arizona State men’s swim team will travel to Federal Way, WA for the Pac-12 Championships. This season has been full of story-lines that have brought a lot of attention to the pool deck in Tempe, AZ. If the hiring of Bob Bowman as head coach, or the presence of Michael Phelps doesn’t entice the average swim fan, then the ASU men’s team is sure to entertain.

As the team winds down and prepares for next week, one swimmer, Richard Bohus, of Hungary, will want to make a huge impact. Bohus missed the first half of the season for rehabilitation of both his right and left arms after a bicycle accident kept him out of the water. In the first month of his return, he bounced back fast. At the meet against Arizona, Bohus shattered his school record in the 100-yard backstroke in front of a packed crowd of 1,500 fans.
