After a Statement win last Friday over Arizona, Arizona State Women’s Soccer (9-5-3, 5-5-1 Pac-12) look to regroup from their rivalry win high, as they are set to kick off the Women’s College Cup in the Pacific Northwest at Portland (11-4-4, 5-4-0 WCC).
This is Portland’s 22nd tournament appearance and its first since 2013. ASU is playing in its 9th College Cup tournament and second in the last three seasons.
The last time these two sides faced off in the College Cup was in 2000 when Portland defeated ASU in a 3-1 win in the second round.
The bracket draw puts ASU as the ninth seed for the tournament with Portland as the eighth seed. The winner will be tasked with facing the winner of Alabama-Jackson State. The one-seeded Alabama side is currently ranked third in the nation in the latest RPI.
The ASU vs Portland match will kick off at 8 p.m. MST on Saturday, Nov 12th, at Portland.
