Arizona State Men’s Basketball’s has had its fifth game canceled or postponed of its last six scheduled contests after the Pac-12 Conference postponed Thursday’s game against Utah on Monday.
The game is now scheduled to be played next Monday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. MST in Tempe.
The last three postponements have been due to COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols within the Sun Devil program, while games prior have been moved or called off due to power outages in Tempe and COVID-19 issues within ASU’s scheduled opponents.
ASU has played just one game since Dec. 19, when it lost to Cal 74-50 on January 2 in Berkeley. Overall, the Sun Devils have lost two straight.
The 2021-22 season was hoped to be one of less chaos for ASU, as 2020-21 saw the Sun Devils have almost a month-long pause over the Holiday season and deal with other players being out for COVID-19-related reasons. However, this season has seemingly been just as disjointed for the Sun Devils.
Saturday’s game against Colorado is still on as scheduled for now, and will tip off at 8 p.m. MST at Desert Financial Arena.
