ASU Men’s Basketball: Torian Graham signed to Spanish pro team

Former Arizona State guard Torian Graham will play professionally in Spain for Tecnyconta Zaragoza of the Liga ACB next season, the club announced on social media.

The ex-Sun Devil worked out for the Hornets, Lakers and Mavericks among others before going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft. Afterwards, he signed to play in the Las Vegas Summer League with Dallas, appearing in three games and shooting 0-of-5 from the field.

Graham, 24, was a top-100 recruit coming out of high school in North Carolina. He enrolled first into Chipola College in Florida before deciding to attend Houston. He transferred to Buffalo in the early stages of the 2014-15 season and sat the entire year. When Bobby Hurley left Buffalo for ASU, Graham followed.

After sitting out the 2015-16 season due to transfer rules, Graham put on quite a show in Tempe during his one year on the floor for the Sun Devils. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 18.6 points per game, second only to Markelle Fultz, the first overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He recorded 13 games with 20 or more points, including a career-high 32 in ASU’s conference-tournament loss to Oregon.

Whether or not Graham succeeds at the next level, ASU fans will be happy to see one of their favorites from the 2016-17 season making the jump to the pros.
