The No. 21 Gym Devils (8-8, 1-5 Pac-12) scored their highest road meet total of the season last Saturday with a 196.150 in a quad-meet against Penn State, Yale and Cornell.

ASU’s strong meet was led by senior Anne Kuhm. Kuhm was the only Devil who competed in the all-around, taking home second place with a 39.150.

Although sophomore Cairo Leonard-Baker did not compete in all four events for the first time this season, she still contributed in a big way for the Devils. Leonard-Baker scored an event-high 9.925 on bars, her fourth consecutive 9.925 on bars, and a 9.750 on beam.

The Gym Devils now head to Denver to compete in their second consecutive quad-meet. The No. 6 Denver host the meet, and the Pioneers (14-2) scored a season-high last week against Illinois with a score of 197.775.

The Pioneers were led by sophomores Emily Glynn and Lynnzee Brown who tied for the bars title with scores of 9.925. Four Pioneers finished with scores of 9.900+ on beam, leading Denver to its highest school beam score of all time with a 49.600. The Pioneers also set a season-high on floor finishing with a 49.450 after Brown won this event with a 9.950.

The quad-meet will also include No. 18 Nebraska (8-4) and Pittsburgh (7-9). The Cornhuskers most recently defeated Southern Utah 196.825-195.050. They were led by senior all-arounder Sienna Crouse. Crouse finished with an all-around score of 39.225 where she tied her career-high on floor with an impressive 9.950.

As for Pittsburgh, the Panthers were defeated by No. 11 Minnesota 197.500-193.400 last week. Although they lost the meet, they still had two bright spots in senior Brittany West and freshman Olivia Miller. West placed third on beam with a 9.850 while Miller earned career bests of 9.800 on floor and 9.775 on beam.

The Gym Devils look to continue their hot road streak in Denver on Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m.
