In yet another Territorial Cup matchup in the 2014-15 season, the Gym Devils will head south on Monday to take on the University of Arizona GymCats in Tucson, Arizona.

Both ASU and Arizona are entering Monday’s showdown at the McKale Center having lost their last meet. Arizona is coming off a close 196.250-195.100 road loss to No. 10 Oregon State, while Arizona State looks to rebound from their 197.825-194.100 loss to No. 3 Utah in Salt Lake City last Friday.

The #19 Wildcats will enter Monday’s meet with a 1-3 record against Pac-12 opponents this season, while the unranked Sun Devils will look to earn their first win in Pac-12 competition.

In ASU’s last dual meet, junior transfer student Taylor Allex returned to the Huntsman Center and stole the show against the Utes, matching career highs in both vault and floor while also setting a new career high on bars. Allex finished the night by posting the fourth highest all-around score in the last five years of ASU Gymnastics with a score of 39.375.

Senior Natasha Sundby returned last meet after missing the previous meet with an injury and tied her career high of 9.900 on vault and also tied her career high of 9.850 on floor.

Arizona will host the Devils looking to get back in the win column. Senior Allison Flores, who earned first team All-Conference honors last year, should have a significant impact as she led her team on a rally that fell just short against Oregon State.

Junior Jessie Sisler will try to carry momentum into this meet in order to contend against Sundby on vault. Look for Arizona to turn to Flores and Sisler to lead them to victory.

The meet will be aired on the Pac-12 Network at 7 p.m. MT. Follow WCSN gymnastics reporter Tyler Paley on Twitter @TylerPaley for live meet updates from Tucson.
