The Pac-12 announced on Sunday morning that Arizona State will play Oregon State in Corvallis on Saturday, Dec. 19, which will be the regular season finale for both teams.
After a 70-7 victory over Arizona in the Territorial Cup on Friday, a win over the Beavers would put the Sun Devils at .500, despite the Sun Devils only playing three games this season, tied with Washington State for fewest games played this season in the conference.
This game will also mark ASU’s third game on the road this season.
ASU played in Corvallis last year in 2019 and fell in heartbreaking fashion 35-34, which was ASU’s fourth consecutive loss at the time. After then ASU wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk scored a touchdown to make the score 35-34 with under two minutes left in the game, head coach Herm Edwards decided to go for two but the conversion was unsuccessful.
Oregon State is currently 2-4 on the season and in fourth place in the Pac-12 north but each of its six games have been competitive. The Beavers have reeled off impressive wins against Oregon and Cal while also falling to Washington State, Washington, Utah and most recently Stanford.
The game will be televised on ESPN with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. MST.
