The 64 teams for the 2015 NCAA Tournament were unveiled on Monday, and Arizona State was awarded a two-seed in the Regional hosted by one-seed Cal State Fullerton.

Arizona State’s first-round matchup is slated for 3 p.m. on Friday against three-seed Clemson, while CSU Fullerton takes on four-seeded Pepperdine.

The Sun Devils (34-21, 18-12) finished tied for third in the Pac-12, and its placement in the NCAA Tournament marks its 38th overall postseason appearance and 15th straight.

ASU’s recent history against the teams in its Regional is somewhat extensive, as it fell to Pepperdine 3-2 in game one of the 2014 Tournament, and was hosted by CSU Fullerton in 2013.

Regarding Clemson, the last time the Sun Devils squared off against the Tigers was in game one of the 2010 College World Series—an affair which resulted in a 6-3 Clemson win. In the 2009 Super Regionals, ASU hosted Clemson, won both games and consequently advanced to the College World Series. All told, ASU is 3-1 against Clemson in the team’s four all-time meetings.

Five other Pac-12 teams were awarded postseason bids as well, headlined by UCLA receiving the top overall seed and Oregon sneaking into the field as a three seed after winning its last five conference series and taking two of three at UCLA last weekend. USC, Oregon State and Cal received postseason bids to round out the conference’s six selections.
